Please see all tour Rates on this link: https://www.namet.org/wp/bookings/

 Choosing the good tour:

Do I need to be in good physical condition?

We have welcomed visitors with infants as well as seniors 70+. It all depends on you. However, in general we would consider that:

  • Nam Nern Night Safari – is for everyone!
  • Trekking Tours – hard to challenging. Please see the elevation graphic on the itinerary page.

I wish to join the Night Safari & Trekking, is this possible?

Yes, this is a great idea! Please note that the Nam Nern Night Safari and the Trekking Tours are located in different part of the Nam Et-Phou Louey National Park. If you wish to do both the Night Safari and Trekking tour, please book the tours as separated and plan an overnight in Muang Hiam in between. While in Muang Hiam you can visit the National Park visitor center and enjoy the nearby hot spring. See map of Muang Hiam and activities on: https://www.namet.org/wp/activities-around-muang-hiam-nam-et-phou-louey-national-protected-area/

Wildlife:

What wildlife can I see on the Night Safari tour?

The Night Safari is the best opportunity for visitors to see wildlife with your eyes! The wildlife sightings have increased from only 4 in 2010 to 9 animals per tour in average spotted by visitors in 2017. Please follow this link to read more: https://www.namet.org/wp/what-wildlife-can-i-see-on-nam-nern-night-safari-tour/

What wildlife can I see on Trekking Tours?

The trekking trails are going through one of the most important wildlife habitat of NEPL NPA. All six cat species, two bear species, dholes, as well as the critically endangered Northern White Cheeked Gibbons live in this area. However, please understand that in this mountainous landscape with tense vegetation, you will most likely see only proof of these animals as village guides/former poachers will identify calls, footprints, scratches, scat, etc along the way. The wildlife observation tower nearby the Nests camp offer increased chances to spot Sambar Deer and Muntjacs. In addition, the motion sensitive cameras “Wildlife camera traps” have been set along the trekking trails and offer visitors an opportunity to “see” the wildlife.
